Terms & Conditions

1. Bookings & Confirmation

 

1.1 All bookings are subject to availability and are only confirmed once agreed in writing (email, message, or signed agreement).
1.2 Verbal agreements alone do not constitute a confirmed booking.
1.3 The Client is responsible for ensuring all event details provided are accurate and complete.

​2. Fees & Payment

 

2.1 Fees will be agreed prior to confirmation of the booking.
2.2 A non-refundable deposit may be required to secure the date. The remaining balance to be paid upon completion of the performance, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2.3 Payments can be made via cash or bank transfer (cash preferred).
2.4 Late payments or failure to meet agreed payment terms may result in cancellation of the performance without refund.

3. Cancellations & Postponements (Client)

 

3.1 If the Client cancels the booking:

• More than 14 days before the event: deposit is retained.

• Less than 14 days before the event: up to 100% of the agreed fee may be payable.
   

3.2 Postponements are treated as cancellations unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3.3 Any refunds are at the sole discretion of the Performer.

4. Cancellations (Performer)

 

4.1 In the unlikely event that I am unable to perform due to illness, emergency, or circumstances beyond my control, I will:

• Inform the Client as soon as reasonably possible

• Refund any fees already paid
   

4.2 I will not be liable for any additional costs, losses, or damages incurred by the Client.

5. Performance Requirements

 

5.1 The Client must provide:

• Safe and adequate performance space

• Access to a suitable power supply

• Reasonable shelter for outdoor events
   

5.2 Performance start and finish times must be agreed in advance. Additional time requested on the day may incur extra charges.

5.3 I reserve the right to decline or cancel bookings where the request is inappropriate, unsafe, or outside the scope of my services. All bookings are subject to availability and professional discretion. Any abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behaviour will result in immediate termination of services without refund.

6. Equipment & Technical Issues

 

6.1 I provide my own professional sound equipment unless otherwise agreed.
6.2 The Client is responsible for ensuring equipment provided by them or the venue is safe and fit for purpose.
6.3 I am not liable for performance issues caused by faulty power supplies, venue restrictions, or external noise.

7. Travel & Access

​

7.1 Travel costs may be included or charged separately depending on location.
7.2 The Client must ensure reasonable access to the venue, including parking or loading access where necessary.

8. Force Majeure

​

8.1 Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:

• Extreme weather

• Government restrictions

• Acts of God

• Power outages
   

8.2 In such cases, refunds will be limited to fees already paid.

9. Conduct & Safety

​​

9.1 Abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behaviour towards the Performer will result in immediate termination of the performance without refund.
9.2 The Client is responsible for the conduct of guests and attendees.

10. Media & Promotion

​

10.1 The Performer may take photos or short videos during the event for promotional purposes unless the Client requests otherwise in writing before the event.
10.2 The Client may not record or reproduce performances for commercial use without prior written consent.

​11. Liability

​

11.1 I hold no responsibility for loss, damage, or injury to persons or property during the event unless caused by proven negligence.
11.2 The Client is responsible for ensuring appropriate insurance coverage where required by the venue.

​12. Data Protection

​

12.1 Personal information provided by the Client will be used solely for booking, communication, and administrative purposes.
12.2 Data will not be shared with third parties except where legally required, in accordance with UK GDPR.

13. Disclaimer and Website Use

14.2 Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.​

15. Acceptance

By booking Abigail Victoria, the Client confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
